Financial Controller – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller focused on Finance & Accounting to lead the finance function for a large‑scale manufacturing operation. The role requires deep business understanding, the ability to challenge existing processes, and to drive operational improvements through finance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve account reconciliations and journal entries, guiding the team on technical aspects.
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages, footnotes, and schedules for corporate reporting.
• Conduct P&L and Balance Sheet reviews to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Perform variance analysis on material, labor, and overhead costs and provide actionable insights.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and analyze actuals versus forecasts.
• Present month‑end results and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership.
• Manage travel & expense accounting processes and systems.
• Oversee internal and external tax and audit requests.
• Support cross‑functional projects, special assignments, and intercompany initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads to control and forecast expenses.
• Guide capital acquisition requests and perform ROI and cost‑effectiveness analyses.
• Establish methodologies to monitor and continuously improve finance systems and processes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in accounting or audit, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong project‑management abilities, high attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, team‑oriented environments.
