Financial Controller – Remote (US Time Zones)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Controller to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for a nonprofit organization. The role is fully remote, supporting US time zones, and offers the chance to work with a collaborative team while ensuring accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll oversight.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budget‑to‑actual reports, and analyses for leadership and Board review.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and maintain financial controls and compliance.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Support financial planning, process improvements, and documentation of accounting policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting, finance, or controllership experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health environments is highly preferred.
• Available to work US graveyard shift from the Philippines or Latin America and able to start within two weeks.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems.
• Familiarity with time‑tracking tools such as Time Doctor.
