French Bilingual Medical Interpreter

About the role

DATAMARK, Inc. is looking for a professional French Bilingual Medical Interpreter to join its remote team. The interpreter will enable clear communication between French‑speaking patients and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate exchange of medical information in a variety of clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time verbal interpretation for patient consultations, diagnoses, treatment plans and follow‑up instructions.
• Translate medical documents, consent forms and patient questionnaires accurately.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards governing medical interpretation.
• Stay current with medical terminology, procedures and emerging healthcare guidelines.
• Build rapport with patients and clinicians to foster trust and effective communication.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent listening and comprehension abilities, with the capacity to adapt to different dialects and accents.
• Professional, empathetic demeanor and ability to handle sensitive health information.
• Organized, able to multitask and manage time efficiently.
