Functional QA Game Tester

About the role

TransPerfect Games is seeking freelance game testers to support a variety of titles, from indie projects to AAA releases. You will work onsite in Mexico City, applying your passion for games to uncover bugs and improve overall quality.

Key responsibilities

• Execute test plans and cases, suggest improvements, and document findings.
• Report bugs with crash dumps, call stacks, and video captures using bug‑tracking tools.
• Utilize black‑box and grey‑box testing techniques across PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with test engineers, leads, and partner teams to analyze results and close gaps in coverage.
• Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and game balance.

Required profile

• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a positive, proactive mindset.
• Legal right to work in Mexico and ability to commute to the Mexico City office.

Required skills

• Experience with bug‑tracking systems such as ADO, JIRA, or Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with testing tools like Fiddler and NetMon.
• Knowledge of security/fuzzing, performance/stress, accessibility, and certification testing methodologies.
• Understanding of black‑box and grey‑box testing techniques.
