General Ledger Accountant

About the role

As a General Ledger Accountant you will support the General Accounting team by analysing financial data, preparing reports and ensuring accurate month‑end close under US‑GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Actively participate in month‑end closing processes following US‑GAAP.
• Perform general ledger account analysis and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain SOX control documentation.
• Generate daily and monthly financial reports for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain continuous contact with vendors and customers regarding fixed‑asset issues.
• Assist in resolving issues that could impact timely month‑end closing.
• Support additional accounting tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to process changes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Knowledge of US‑GAAP and SOX controls.
