General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will analyse financial information and prepare reports that track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax obligations. This role supports the month‑end closing process and ensures accurate financial records in line with US‑GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in accounting and month‑end closing processes under US‑GAAP.
• Perform daily accounting activities and collaborate with the General Accounting team.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports for internal stakeholders.
• Execute month‑end closings, general ledger account analysis, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and SOX control preparation.
• Maintain continuous communication with vendors and customers regarding fixed‑asset issues.
• Assist in resolving issues that could affect timely month‑end closing.
• Undertake other accounting tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to process changes.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
