General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will oversee daily yard operations in Houston, ensuring efficient inventory management, materials handling, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily yard activities, including inventory control, truck loading/unloading, and materials handling.
• Manage, train, and schedule yard staff while promoting safe work practices.
• Monitor equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
• Create, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures for yard operations.
• Identify inefficiencies and develop scalable, repeatable solutions.
• Collaborate with ownership to design operational systems supporting franchising and expansion.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional yard environment.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Horticulture, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Experience managing or working in a landscaping materials yard, construction yard, or similar supply environment.
• Experience with external tax accountants and regulatory reporting.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb regularly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Bilingual English–Spanish strongly preferred.
