Hardware Test Engineer – Production Testing

About the role

The Hardware Test Engineer will design and maintain end‑of‑line production test protocols for automotive ECUs. Working closely with global engineering and manufacturing teams, you will help improve test methods, reduce failure rates and ensure product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Create, execute and audit project‑specific production test specifications for customer projects.
• Develop and maintain test lists for validation and update all test documentation.
• Introduce change requests driven by test engineering needs and validate their implementation.
• Support production test engineers with specification queries and troubleshoot end‑of‑line tester issues.
• Communicate technical problems and updates to project teams and plants.
• Analyse failures, perform root‑cause analysis and support quality claims for customers.

Required profile

• Technical expertise in ECU diagnosis and test equipment.
• Experience with engineering requirements management and test coverage analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work across multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel between manufacturing sites as needed.
