Human Resources Generalist I

About the role

Jabil is hiring a Human Resources Generalist I in Guadalajara. The role covers several HR functions such as employment interviewing, wage and salary administration, personnel administration, training and benefits administration, and works in support of two or three functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Employee relations: communicate and interpret HR policies and procedures, coach managers and employees on performance, terminations, sexual harassment and discrimination, coordinate employee programs and comply with state and federal laws.
• Compensation: monitor and approve salary increases within guidelines, and conduct preliminary job analysis and create job descriptions for non-benchmark positions.
• Benefits: explain benefit changes and policies, educate associates, coordinate open enrollment and resolve benefit questions.
• Recruitment and selection: help managers with needs analysis, track open positions, source candidates internally and externally, interview and screen them, and coordinate internal transfers.
• HRIS reporting: compile statistical reports for departments and work with various software packages.
• Project management: take part in team projects addressing strategic initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.
• Follow safety, health and security rules and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, geometry and trigonometry, and to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, customers and the public, and to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence, read visual aids and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and to compute rates, ratios and percents and interpret graphs.
• Intermediate English and night shift availability.

Required skills

• Personal computer operation, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
