Incoming Quality Inspector

About the role

The Incoming Quality Inspector ensures that all materials, components and supplies received from suppliers meet engineering specifications, quality standards and purchase order requirements before they enter production. This position is essential for preventing non‑conforming parts from reaching the manufacturing line and supports overall product reliability and traceability.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming parts against drawings, specifications and purchase orders using visual, dimensional and documentation checks.
• Verify certificates of conformance, test reports and other supplier documentation.
• Identify, document and report any non‑conforming material and segregate it to avoid use in production.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, labeling and traceability of all received items.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support supplier quality audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives related to incoming inspection processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in incoming inspection or quality control, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and purchase orders.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Understanding of non‑conformance management and CAPA processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
