Industry 4.0 Engineer

About the role

Bosch is looking for an experienced Industry 4.0 Engineer in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. The role drives Industry 4.0 activities and digital transformation in the plant, implements data-driven solutions, recognizes associates who propose improvement ideas through the BPS/I4.0 approach, delivers BPS and I4.0 training and acts as the BPS-I4.0 Value Stream Coordinator for production areas.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Industry 4.0 solutions such as IoT systems, automation platforms and data analytics frameworks to optimize production.
• Support BPS-I4.0 problem-solving workshops and stay up to date with Industry 4.0 trends.
• Lead I4.0 projects from concept through stabilization, manage project tasks, timelines and actions.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs, design data models and support automation, analytics and AI deployments.
• Develop and maintain basic software, operate and maintain software, and govern software architecture, DevOps and the software lifecycle.
• Maintain I4.0 tools such as DRS and ANDON, and scale automation, analytics, AI and MLOps solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of proven experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, smart manufacturing systems or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational and project management abilities, and effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.

Required skills

• IoT platforms, industrial automation software and data analytics tools.
• Cloud technologies and edge computing in manufacturing.
• Process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
• Cybersecurity best practices for OT environments.
• Industrial software and simulation tools; knowledge of Industry 4.0 standards and frameworks preferred.
