Installation Manager

About the role

The Installation Manager will lead full‑cycle installation projects for material handling equipment, overseeing staffing, planning and execution to meet project milestones. This position ensures installations comply with Dematic standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily/weekly workload for less complex or smaller projects.
• Supervise superintendents, foremen, and crews across mechanical, electrical and mechatronics pre‑commissioning.
• Prepare project quotes, scope of work, schedules and equipment lists.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, track equipment inventory and rentals.
• Assist with equipment trial runs, provide technical support to subcontractors, and resolve installation issues.
• Conduct site visits, enforce safety and quality standards, and report project progress.
• Manage ordering of consumables, supplies and rentals for project execution.
• Participate in post‑project reviews to recommend design or process improvements.

Required profile

• Engineering or business degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Proven experience with material handling equipment; service experience with AGVs, AS/RS or conveyors is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and be on call as needed.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and off‑shifts.
• Ability to produce clear trip reports following Dematic procedures.
