Interior Design Lead

About the role

Curioso, a collaborative studio of architects, interior designers and artists, is seeking a senior Interior Design Lead for its Mérida studio. The role bridges design vision and project execution across luxury hospitality, restaurant and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through schematic design, design development and construction documents for hotels, resorts, restaurants and mixed‑use projects.
• Define design vision, strategy, budgets and schedules, and hold the team accountable.
• Maintain quality standards that align with client expectations and Curioso’s design ethos.
• Direct FF&E specification, procurement coordination and vendor relationships.
• Mentor designers at all levels, fostering a culture of creative rigor and collaboration.
• Present concepts and progress to clients and internal stakeholders with confidence.
• Coordinate interior architecture, architecture, engineering and construction disciplines.
• Identify workflow improvements and support business development.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of experience in interior design or interior architecture, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong hand‑sketching and concept visualization abilities.
• Collaborative leadership style with clear, constructive direction.
