Junior Design & Release Engineer (Powertrain Brackets)

About the role

The Junior Design & Release Engineer supports the design, development, packaging and production release of structural and functional mounting brackets used in powertrain systems such as engines, transmissions and turbochargers. Working under senior engineers, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and global Tier‑1 suppliers to manage technical data, execute engineering changes and track deliverables from concept through production launch.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, packaging, clearance analysis and product release of powertrain brackets and fastening systems.
• Coordinate engineering change management, author engineering notices and maintain accurate Bill of Materials data.
• Conduct 3D CAD digital mock‑up reviews and packaging studies to ensure clearance compliance in engine bay and chassis environments.
• Track project deliverables, maintain engineering records and monitor component milestones.
• Collaborate with suppliers on tooling status, timing plans and technical data compliance.
• Assist in defining and tracking Design Verification Plans and Reports for fatigue, stiffness and vibration validation.
• Prepare technical reports, meeting agendas and presentations for engineering reviews.
• Participate in problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis during vehicle prototyping and assembly builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in product engineering, design release or structural component development (internships count).
• Fundamental understanding of mechanics of materials, vibration behavior and basic manufacturing processes (steel stamping, aluminum die‑casting, sheet metal).
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, organizational and team‑oriented mindset.
