Junior Facilities Technician

About the role

The Junior Facilities Technician will support the planning and execution of all maintenance activities for the plant’s building and equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as Eaton’s internal processes and ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive‑maintenance plans and respond to work orders while maintaining safety standards.
• Communicate changes affecting safety, product quality, or operating conditions to the Operational Manager and plant leadership.
• Assist in designing department structures, including job descriptions, training plans, and performance reviews.
• Participate in developing new maintenance methods to reduce operating costs and environmental impact.
• Support equipment‑installation standards and manage electrical, pneumatic, and thermal power distribution.
• Contribute to building maintenance, housekeeping, and FM Global risk‑assessment closure.
• Monitor safety, environment, and health programs such as fall protection, lock‑out/tag‑out, electrical safety, and confined‑space procedures.
• Engage in continuous‑improvement activities like Kaizen, ideas programs, and cost‑out projects.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Facilities Technician in an industrial setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with measurement tools: multimeter, ammeter, megger, Vernier, micrometer.
