Junior Information Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Information Security Engineer to join our global cybersecurity team in Monterrey. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience across incident response, threat intelligence, cloud security and security operations in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support investigations of cybersecurity incidents across cloud, endpoint and network environments.
• Assist with threat detection, analysis and response activities.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to improve detection capabilities.
• Help enhance security monitoring and detection tools.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and Engineering teams.
• Contribute to security documentation, playbooks and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, incident response or related areas.
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems and core security concepts.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities.
• English proficiency at B2 level and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Basic scripting in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, XDR or cloud security tools.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Exposure to SOC operations, incident response, threat intelligence or vulnerability management.
