Junior Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support our metal‑mechanical production facilities in Mexico. The role offers hands‑on experience in precision mechanics, maintenance and testing of equipment, with opportunities for travel across the country and training abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, assembly and testing of mechanical components.
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and bore gauges.
• Perform bearing assembly/disassembly and prepare machines for maintenance, including mechanical and chemical cleaning.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Support non‑destructive testing activities, including liquid penetrant testing and visual inspection (knowledge of UT/MT is a plus).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technologies or a related field, or a technical diploma with relevant hands‑on experience.
• Intermediate level of English for technical reading and workplace communication.
• Willingness to relocate to Santa Catarina and travel frequently across Mexico.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (or equivalent email client).
• Use of precision measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges.
• Bearing assembly and disassembly.
• Mechanical and chemical cleaning procedures.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
• Liquid penetrant testing and visual inspection for NDT.
