Lead Development Program Manager

About the role

Mattel Brick Shop is looking for a Lead Development Program Manager to drive new product development programs from concept through production. The role is based at the Monterrey manufacturing facility and reports to the Senior Director of Product Development in Montreal, Canada. As the main program management lead for the Monterrey Product Development team, you will coordinate cross-functional teams so products are delivered on time, within budget and ready for launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple global product development programs from concept through production launch.
• Build and manage integrated project plans, covering milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Mexico, Canada, Asia and external suppliers.
• Drive issue resolution and proactively manage risks related to design, tooling, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and product readiness.
• Ensure readiness for prototype builds, Engineering Pilot (EP), Final Engineering Pilot (FEP), tooling qualification and production launch.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Operations to move new products into the Monterrey facility.
• Provide project status, risk assessments and recovery plans to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, program management, engineering or manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional product development programs from concept through production.
• Experience working with global teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally, including Asia, as required.
• Experience with consumer products, construction toys, plastics or injection molding is an asset.
