Learning Coach

About the role

Nogales English School is seeking a Learning Coach who will guide students academically, socially, and emotionally. In this role you will create engaging, student‑centered experiences that nurture curiosity, independence, and critical thinking within an English‑immersion environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate inquiry‑based, project‑based learning activities that place students at the centre of their education.
• Support students in developing problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
• Encourage learner autonomy and ownership of the learning process.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture.
• Promote English as the primary language of communication throughout the school day.
• Observe student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching sessions.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Psychology, English Language Teaching, or a related field.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Experience working with children or adolescents.
• Familiarity with project‑based, inquiry‑based, or student‑centered learning approaches.
• Classroom‑management skills based on relationships and positive guidance.
