Legal Associate – Hybrid – Mexico City

About the role

Clara is looking for a Legal Associate to join its Mexico legal team. You will help keep the company’s local operations compliant, well‑documented and legally sound while working closely with the Legal Lead and global colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and organise commercial contracts, NDAs and corporate documents.
• Provide legal support to internal teams such as Sales, Finance and Operations.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican regulations, especially data‑protection (LFPDPPP) and AML frameworks.
• Manage communications and deadlines with regulators like CNBV and Banxico, with senior counsel support.
• Assist in responding to administrative requests, extrajudicial notifications and potential investigations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date legal files and records using tools such as Google Drive and Slack.
• Collaborate with the global Legal team to align standards and policies across LatAm while executing locally.

Required profile

• Law degree and a valid license to practice in Mexico.
• 1–3 years of experience in corporate, commercial or financial law.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing environment.
