Legal & Compliance Manager

About the role

The Legal & Compliance Manager will lead legal support for manufacturing plants in Rosarito, Baja California and Salinas, Nuevo León. Reporting to the Regional Head of Legal & Compliance, the role covers contract management, dispute resolution, external counsel oversight, and the development of compliance programs across operations, sales, and international commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and manage contracts, templates and risk tracking systems.
• Provide legal advice on key decisions and support IP management for headquarters.
• Handle litigation, arbitration and internal investigations.
• Manage external law firms, ensuring cost‑effective service.
• Design and maintain a compliance system, conduct risk assessments and drive remediation.
• Deliver company‑wide compliance training and support operational legal issues.

Required profile

• Law degree obtained in Mexico; bar license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of legal/compliance experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing, multinational corporations or law firms.
• Proven ability to work cross‑culturally and exercise strong judgment.
• Experience in Chinese‑owned companies is a plus.
