Legal Manager

About the role

Givaudan is seeking a Legal Manager to provide proactive, high‑quality legal support for its operations in Mexico and the ANCAM region (Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru) as well as procurement teams across Latin America. Reporting to the Regional Legal Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor and ensure compliance with local laws while aligning with global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to business units in Mexico and ANCAM.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including raw material, services, confidentiality and consultancy contracts.
• Manage litigation and pre‑litigation matters, coordinate external counsel and oversee dispute‑resolution strategies.
• Advise on regulatory, corporate governance and ethics matters in line with Givaudan’s global policies.
• Serve as the regional focal point for procurement‑related legal issues, develop contract templates and ensure policy adherence.
• Collaborate with global legal, procurement, EHS, HR, finance and other functions to deliver efficient legal support.
• Identify, engage and manage external attorneys, controlling budgets and service quality.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican law, especially environmental, REPSE, risk management, litigation and liability matters.
• Familiarity with other Latin American jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation, risk management and dispute resolution.
