About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Project Leader to head our engineering buying team at the Bosch Rexroth plant in Querétaro. The role will drive sourcing projects, cost‑saving initiatives and change management for business units and related components.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and lead procurement projects, cost‑reduction programs and engineering change initiatives.
• Act as the key purchasing counterpart for plant and business‑unit projects, managing sub‑projects and purchasing activities for new customers.
• Collaborate closely with the Purchasing and Material Quality departments to select optimal suppliers.
• Work with suppliers to qualify parts for series production in line with Supplier Quality Management (SQM) processes.
• Review specifications together with engineering quality and purchasing teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends and competitor offerings to apply advanced technologies.
• Train, develop and share knowledge with the buying team.
• Represent the engineering purchasing manager on‑site.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (TOEFL score of 7 or higher).
• Experience in supplier quality management, APQP and CORE tools.
• Proven project management and resource planning capabilities.
• Background in engineering change management.
• Leadership experience, preferably managing a team of senior buyers.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, fastening and forging.
