Local Information Security Officer

About the role

The Local Information Security Officer will align the site’s security objectives with Aptiv’s global strategy, ensuring that information assets are protected and regulatory requirements are met. You will act as the primary security liaison for the site, driving policy implementation, risk management, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and coordinate site‑specific information security policies, guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate security policies to all site employees and ensure consistent application.
• Maintain the site’s information security concept and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide advice to site management on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare regular security status reports and escalate incidents to internal or external bodies as required.
• Lead incident management, including analysis, coordination of response activities and follow‑up actions.
• Plan and deliver role‑specific security awareness and training for site personnel.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness for information security, maintaining an emergency manual and collaborating with the designated emergency officer.
• Collaborate with other security roles (Data Protection Officer, IT Security Officer, Confidentiality Officer) to ensure an integrated security approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Proven experience conducting internal audits (ISO 27001, ISO 19011).
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with GDPR principles and European security frameworks such as BSI IT‑Grundschutz.
• Certificate as an information security officer is advantageous.
