Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand the company’s network of local tour guides and tourism stakeholders across multiple Mexican destinations. Working closely with management, the specialist will source, evaluate, and onboard qualified guides while maintaining strong relationships with guide associations, universities, and tourism offices.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, referrals, guide marketplaces, and academic institutions.
• Build and nurture relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student groups, guide associations, and local tourism offices.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews, and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service, and operational readiness.
• Rank and maintain an organized pipeline of qualified guide partners.
• Prepare candidate profiles, recommendations, and shortlists for management review.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, recruitment, or partnership development within the tourism sector.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and manage long‑term relationships.
• Strong communication, interviewing, and relationship‑building capabilities.
