Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager oversees the upkeep, repair and preventive maintenance of facilities, machinery and infrastructure so that operations remain safe, efficient and uninterrupted. The role leads a team of engineers, schedules maintenance, manages budgets and spare-parts inventory, ensures compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, and uses equipment performance data to reduce downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
• Supervise, train and evaluate maintenance engineers and support staff.
• Coordinate repairs of mechanical, electrical and structural systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, parts and contractor costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies.
• Analyze equipment performance and failure trends to recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Coordinate with other departments to plan maintenance with minimal impact on workflow.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/neumatic systems.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
