Maintenance Manager – Reliability Maintenance Engineering

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Maintenance Manager to lead the Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at one of its Mexican sites. The role is responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, safety compliance, and supporting future growth of the warehouse network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance engineering team, own annual reporting and mentor direct reports.
• Implement and audit Amazon and statutory safety, environmental and sustainability compliance programs.
• Collaborate with recruitment to fill headcount, including apprentices and graduates.
• Apply global engineering standards, drive continuous improvement and develop preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain equipment failure contingency plans and coordinate rapid response to breakdowns.
• Work with site leadership, finance and global engineering to plan upgrades and new equipment roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in an industrial or warehouse maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to mentor technicians and develop high‑performing teams.
• Experience planning and executing preventative maintenance strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
