Maintenance Technician

About the role

Landis+Gyr is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities. The role involves preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to support continuous manufacturing processes and contribute to energy‑efficiency goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery according to the maintenance plan.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control failures.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new production equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare‑part usage.
• Ensure tools and measuring equipment are available and functional.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S).

Required profile

• Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Mechatronics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and maintain a proactive, disciplined approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a focus on safety, quality and results.

Required skills

• PLC programming knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic mechanics.
• Diagnosis and repair of industrial machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors and process control.
