Manufacturing Engineer – Continuous Improvement

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to combine advanced manufacturing knowledge with a deep understanding of Tetra Pak’s product portfolio. The role acts as the technical bridge between Production and Engineering, driving continuous improvement on the shop floor in Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for pre‑fabricated modules in collaboration with Engineering, Business Streams, and Market Operations.
• Identify and solve complex technical issues that are not immediately evident in existing manufacturing processes.
• Propose, develop, and implement new work methodologies together with production operators.
• Design and develop tools, fixtures, or devices to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and ergonomics.
• Support and execute corrective actions in compliance with internal procedures and standards.
• Participate actively in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities.
• Provide technical training to production personnel and share best practices across teams.
• Interpret and disseminate component manuals and technical documentation to operators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably metal‑mechanical operations.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as milling and cold working.
• Proven experience in mechanical design.
• Experience developing visual or standardized work instructions.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical mindset and effective communication skills.
