Manufacturing Engineer I

About the role

Doosan Bobcat is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing teams. The role focuses on optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency through process analysis, equipment installation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze time, motion, methods, and plant layout to ensure balanced capacity and meet customer demand.
• Implement manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials while considering cost, ergonomics, quality, and quantity.
• Develop and distribute manufacturing change documents and work instructions; train operators on new processes.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and provide training to employees.
• Update routings and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) as directed.
• Produce and maintain documentation for tools, review engineering designs for cost estimation, and recommend design changes for economical manufacturing.
• Prepare justifications for procurement of new machines and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel less than 10%.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Green Belt or Black Belt training/certification.
• Process analysis and time‑motion study expertise.
• Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and routing management.
• Tool cost estimation and documentation.
