Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team in Sahagun, Mexico. You will apply your mechanical design expertise to create high‑quality systems that support the future of rail mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical and systems engineers, to ensure design integration.
• Perform tolerance analyses and select appropriate materials for components.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Support prototype development, testing activities, and manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and industry standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to new tools and technologies.
