MES Engineer – Manufacturing Execution Systems

About the role

The MES Engineer will design, implement, and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to help Dana transition into the 4th Industrial Revolution. You will work closely with IT, plant personnel, and business leaders to improve information management and drive analytics across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of MES solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve MES application and process issues.
• Conduct requirements gathering, gap analysis, and develop detailed functional specifications.
• Support MES solution architecture and estimate technical effort for complex implementations.
• Manage technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle and report progress against schedule.
• Define and promote MES strategy, standards, and hardware/software configurations.
• Assist customers in problem resolution and identify future MES opportunities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge through continuous education.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing MES solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills for requirements gathering, gap analysis, and technical estimation.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Willingness to travel to plant sites as needed.
