Multi-Cloud Administrator

About the role

The Multi-Cloud Administrator will serve as a technology leader and subject‑matter expert for compute and multicloud solutions within Corning’s Global Compute Platforms. Reporting to the Operations lead, this role bridges infrastructure, application, and project teams to deliver complex initiatives across the Optical Communications segment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware vCloud Suite components.
• Develop and support compute solutions that align with corporate technology standards.
• Evaluate design documents, perform testing, and administer complex methodologies.
• Provide technical consultation for IT project start‑up, including charter definition, benefit analysis, and requirements gathering.
• Partner with project teams as a technical lead throughout planning, design, coordination, and execution.
• Promote a consistent vision and strategy across the organization.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse infrastructure and application teams.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and navigate cross‑functional dependencies.
• Experience acting as a technical enabler across vendors and project management groups.
