New Patient Specialist

About the role

The New Patient Specialist converts inbound leads into scheduled evaluations, delivering an exceptional patient experience from first contact through onboarding. This remote position requires quick response, empathy, and strong communication to guide patients through insurance, financial, and treatment discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound leads within 5 minutes, manage inquiries across phone, web, email, and fax.
• Conduct discovery calls, verify insurance benefits, provide financial estimates, and schedule evaluations.
• Coordinate onboarding materials, intake forms, reminders, and handoffs to clinical teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records in CRM and EMR systems, ensuring data integrity and HIPAA compliance.
• Support personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, handling lien agreements and escalating legal concerns.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• 2+ years of experience in patient coordination, healthcare intake, call‑center, or sales‑focused healthcare roles.
• Strong phone presence, relationship‑building skills, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Second Door or similar).
• Familiarity with EMR platforms.
• Insurance verification and healthcare benefits knowledge.
