Outbound Sales Representative

About the role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) / Lead Qualifier will generate new business opportunities for WorldStrides by conducting high‑volume outbound calls and email outreach to schools and teachers across the United States. You will prospect educators, qualify leads, meet monthly activity targets, and pass high‑quality opportunities to the sales team for closing.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to teachers nationwide, leave messages, and follow scripted talk tracks.
• Send follow‑up emails and use templates to create flyers.
• Work on special telemarketing projects such as competitive calls, outreach to unassigned or specialty schools.
• Research schools to identify top prospects and keep the prospect database up to date.
• Update PowerPoint presentations and maintain accurate data entry.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing (minimum six months preferred).
• Proficiency with computer applications, especially CRM systems.
• High school diploma or GED; advanced English proficiency (85%+).
• Strong data‑entry and keyboard skills, comfortable in an office environment.
• Proactive, organized and able to handle rejection.
