Planner – Supply Chain & Inventory Management

About the role

As a member of the Planning Team, the Planner ensures a continuous supply of purchased parts to the assembly line by applying lean manufacturing principles, managing inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Define supply parameters with suppliers and set optimal delivery schedules.
• Analyze production schedules, engineering changes and inventory data to adjust orders promptly.
• Manage excess inventory, obsolete material and consignment stock at supplier sites.
• Coordinate subcontracting orders, part shipments and returnable packaging logistics.
• Monitor supplier performance, handle shortages, negotiate delivery changes and manage related costs.
• Validate and process non‑conforming material lots, working with Supplier Quality and production teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation for transportation, customs and invoicing.
• Update supplier delivery ratings in the Vendor Rating System and oversee dedicated trailer movements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in scheduling or planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills to adjust orders based on changing production needs.
