Prevention Quality Engineer

About the role

The Prevention Quality Engineer ensures that manufacturing assembly processes deliver defect‑free products from the first run. Working closely with production, suppliers and customers, the role focuses on proactive quality control, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain in‑process product quality on assembly lines.
• Perform first‑piece release and validation activities.
• Monitor internal defects and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using 8D and other problem‑solving tools.
• Coordinate containment actions for non‑conforming items.
• Conduct process audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Support the implementation of control plans, PFMEA and process flows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including production, suppliers, customers and laboratories.
• Promote continuous‑improvement initiatives within the production area.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of quality experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Experience with assembly processes is a plus.
• Advanced level of English.
• Visa eligibility as required.

Required skills

• Problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D and root‑cause analysis.
• Quality tools and core tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
