Principal Stress Engineer – Onsite

About the role

The Principal Stress Engineer will lead structural analysis projects for aerospace components, ensuring integrity, performance, and certification compliance. Working on‑site in Mexicali, you will collaborate with global engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for metallic and composite structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage moderate‑size structural analysis projects with significant organizational impact.
• Perform advanced finite element analyses of aircraft components using Nastran, Natran, HyperMesh, and hand calculations.
• Evaluate load paths, support airframe design, and conduct static strength, durability (LCF/HCF), damage tolerance, EBU, actuation system, and nacelle analyses.
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and documentation to support design decisions and certification activities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support structural testing and interpret material behavior for metallic and composite materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in aerospace structural analysis.
• Proven experience with FEM tools (Nastran, Natran, HyperMesh) and hand calculations.
• Strong background in static, durability, damage tolerance, EBU, actuation, and nacelle analyses.
• Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills in English.
