Process Technician

About the role

The Process Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing technical tasks, collecting and analysing process data, and assisting engineers in solving production issues. The role involves hands‑on work in measurement labs, equipment installation, and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute experimental procedures and gather data from manufacturing processes.
• Perform data and graphical analysis to identify trends and support yield improvement.
• Assist engineers in resolving customer complaints and optimizing process yields.
• Lead and coach P&M trades or contract personnel during equipment installation, repairs, or upgrades.
• Train new engineering staff on equipment and processes.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate on product innovation, cost‑reduction, and equipment‑testing projects.
• Guide front‑line production teams to follow safety, health, SOP, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to project planning by estimating resources and timelines.
• Document processes, products, and equipment as required.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field or strong math/science background; Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is a plus.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience in technician or operator roles that provide equipment and process knowledge.
• Leadership experience and ability to coach others.
• Lean fundamentals knowledge; Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification preferred.
• Project management skills.
