Procurement Specialist

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a Procurement Specialist to build and manage strategic supplier partnerships that ensure operational continuity and high‑quality material delivery. The role works closely with purchasing, planning, receiving, and logistics teams to drive issue resolution, order execution, and procurement accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier communication for open orders, delivery dates, confirmations, and issue resolution.
• Expedite purchase orders, identify delayed or short‑shipped items, and track inbound logistics.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics such as on‑time delivery, responsiveness, and order accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, shipping documents, and supplier correspondence.
• Update ERP and procurement systems with order, shipment, and delivery information.
• Prepare reports on open orders, overdue items, shipment status, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with planning, inventory, engineering, quality, receiving, and accounting teams to support operational needs.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, shipment issues, and purchase order variances.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and reduce lead times.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or materials support.
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow‑up abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders.
