Production Lead Operator

About the role

Join a global leader in adhesives as a Production Lead Operator, overseeing daily manufacturing activities and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities, assigning tasks and aligning resources with schedules.
• Serve as the primary communication link between the production team, supervisors, and plant leadership.
• Support onboarding and training of new employees through the Buddy Program.
• Participate in plant start‑ups and line changes, ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Operate production equipment, perform pre‑operational checks, and conduct safety inspections.
• Verify raw‑material quantities against pick lists and SAP data before production.
• Execute production processes according to HMI, process sheets, and SAP instructions.
• Perform visual inspections to guarantee finished‑product quality.
• Oversee packaging operations, including labeling, marking, and documentation.
• Record material consumption, close production orders in SAP, and prepare shift reports with KPI performance and incidents.
• Lead or participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, SMED, Gemba, and Lean.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical degree (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production operations or a similar role.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems.
• Experience leading teams or coordinating production lines.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental standards.
