Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead the ramp‑up of the Battery Module production system, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high‑performing manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for guiding a dedicated production team, driving continuous improvement, and delivering quality output on each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the production team, fostering a culture of safety, tidiness and high performance.
• Own shift output, product quality and cost management.
• Identify training needs, organise qualification courses and ensure successful onboarding of new employees.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for system failures, quality deviations or quantity losses and initiate preventive measures.
• Participate in planning and optimisation of new production facilities and technical modifications.
• Lead special activities such as weekend shifts, planned shutdowns and major repair projects.
• Take part in maintenance, quality, environmental and system audits to meet BMW Group standards.
• Implement BMW work organisation, VPS methods and continuous‑improvement processes.

Required profile

• Significant industrial experience with proven leadership ability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, project management (preferably automotive) or related manufacturing environments such as battery production.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem‑solving and leadership skills.
• Fluent written and spoken business English.
