Production Technician

About the role

As a Production Technician you will provide technical support on production lines, ensuring equipment is calibrated, boards are repaired, and issues are resolved quickly. You will also train operators, maintain documentation, and collaborate with engineering to improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update process documentation for accuracy.
• Verify calibration status of production equipment to meet performance standards.
• Coordinate usage, maintenance, and repair of production boards.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment problems and suggest improvements.
• Use testing equipment to validate product specifications.
• Deliver on‑the‑job technical training to less experienced operators.
• Follow safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Prepare and submit reports promptly.
• Support layout changes and participate in maintenance activities.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in the maquiladora industry.
• High school or technical education preferred.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs, instructions, and routers.
• Availability to work flexible hours.

Required skills

• TIG welding.
• IPC 610 welding certification (preferred).
• J‑STD welding certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) control.
• Ability to operate production equipment and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
