Project Lead – Mexico

About the role

Acciona is seeking a Project Lead to oversee all Mexico‑based activities for the WIFA Long Term Water Augmentation Fund Program. You will act as the primary in‑country representative, ensuring that feasibility, design, permitting, commercial, reporting and construction tasks align with program objectives and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Mexico‑based workstreams covering feasibility studies, design support, technical analyses, permitting, commercial inputs and construction activities.
• Maintain alignment between Mexico execution and the overall WIFA program schedule, budget and risk framework.
• Serve as the main liaison between Mexico teams and U.S. project leadership, managing cross‑border interfaces.
• Engage with local, state and federal authorities, utilities, port agencies and environmental regulators to secure permits and approvals.
• Coordinate with external consultants, engineering firms, contractors and advisors operating in both Mexico and the United States.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, preferably in water or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of cross‑border project delivery and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
