Project Manager – Automotive Projects

About the role

As a Project Manager at Aptiv, you will support the execution of automotive and new‑mobility projects from award through end‑of‑life. You will own the overall project plan, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and ensure delivery against schedule, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the overall project plan and conduct regular project reviews.
• Manage risk through cross‑functional problem solving and mitigation strategy development.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, sales, supply chain, manufacturing and other experts to achieve product development milestones.
• Assess critical path, identify issues and align stakeholders for flawless execution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, providing regular status reports and escalating risks as needed.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and resource planning throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track investment spending, CAPEX planning and financial performance from award to delivery.
• Provide input to product road‑maps and support sales pursuits with feasibility and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with IT to set up project tools and collaboration platforms for internal and external users.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work effectively under remote supervision with strong communication and self‑management.
• Experience in risk management and cross‑functional team leadership.
• Ability to assess critical paths, align stakeholders and drive issue resolution.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to prepare executive status reports.
• Financial acumen to monitor project budgets and CAPEX.
