Quality Inspector

About the role

The Quality Inspector will ensure that production processes at Valeo meet customer and regulatory standards. Working on the shop floor, you will support operators, certify compliance, and act as the customer’s representative in the workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Assist production supervisors by training operators, certifying them according to BDCAP procedures, and stopping production when non‑compliance is detected.
• Validate start‑up and end‑of‑shift checklists, manage exemptions, and ensure rework is accepted and re‑validated by the client.
• Support quality engineers by verifying control frequencies, 5S compliance in the metrology and rework zones, and maintaining traceability of parts.
• Identify and segregate non‑conforming parts, label them correctly, and ensure documentation is complete.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement activities, propose corrective actions, and assist in QRQC analysis.
• Draft and archive control procedures, quality alerts, and activity reports; conduct post‑audits and product audits as scheduled.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment with a focus on quality control.
• Ability to enforce procedures, stop production when needed, and communicate effectively with operators and supervisors.
• Attention to detail for documentation, traceability, and audit preparation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BDCAP certification procedures.
• Proficiency in 5S methodology for workplace organization.
• Familiarity with QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) processes.
• Experience with control checklists and audit documentation.
