Quality Manager

About the role

The Quality Manager will lead complex quality activities across manufacturing and supporting functions to ensure product, process and system robustness that meets both internal and external customer requirements. This role drives the implementation of the Quality Management System, supports APQP and IATF compliance, and acts as a key liaison for customer and supplier quality issues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise quality and test personnel, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation and scheduling.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and customer‑specific standards.
• Implement IATF‑related changes and manage the site Document Control System.
• Monitor and report quality metrics, share performance data with operations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee internal and external customer satisfaction monitoring, recommending improvements in APQP, cost, delivery and quality.
• Manage supplier performance, lead corrective actions, and support supplier development initiatives.
• Identify product and process issues, allocate resources, and drive permanent corrective actions across plant, customer sites and the field.
• Develop warranty reduction processes, analyze field returns and ensure rapid issue response.
• Exercise authority to stop/start shipments and production to address quality problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Working experience with PPAP, APQP and FMEA methodologies.
• Proficiency in quality inspection methods, control techniques and analysis software.
• Experience as an IATF qualified auditor (first‑party internal audits preferred, second‑party supplier audits preferred).
