Quality Manager

About the role

The Quality Manager leads the development and maintenance of quality systems, rules, and processes to ensure that products and projects meet internal and external standards. This role requires a strong understanding of quality concepts, methods, and procedures, and the ability to work cross‑functionally across manufacturing, engineering, and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize Business Process Management Systems (e.g., QMS, Integrated Management Systems) to control and monitor plant processes.
• Develop, implement, and monitor process mapping for quality improvement and standardize tools and performance management systems.
• Resolve problems collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate metrics, project status, and issue analyses to leadership.
• Identify process risks, implement control plans, conduct audits, and ensure documented evidence of effective process control.
• Lead rapid response to customer quality and reliability issues.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Commercial teams to drive product and process improvement actions.
• Meet quality‑related financial objectives, including budgeting, capital expenditure management, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop business metrics, collect and analyze performance data, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate business updates on emerging issues and ensure timely closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of quality, engineering, or project‑management experience).
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Critical thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities and a proven track record of success in a self‑directed work environment.
• Ability to work independently and lead salaried direct reports.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Previous manufacturing quality leadership experience and strong customer focus.
