Regional Counsel – Mexico & Central America

About the role

The Region Counsel will lead all legal, regulatory and compliance matters for Ferrero’s operations in Mexico and Central America. Reporting to senior leadership, the role provides strategic legal advice to support business growth while protecting the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee corporate governance, treasury, commercial contracts, food and regulatory law, trade law, marketing & media law, intellectual property protection and product liability matters across the region.
• Design and deliver compliance training, monitor regulatory developments and lead risk assessments on anti‑bribery, antitrust, privacy, ESG and sanctions.
• Manage regional litigation and dispute resolution, working with external counsel to prevent and mitigate disputes.
• Select, retain, supervise and evaluate outside counsel resources to ensure efficient use.
• Partner with cross‑functional leadership teams to align legal strategy with business objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience advising senior management on complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Proven ability to lead compliance programmes and conduct risk assessments.
• Strong background in managing litigation and coordinating external counsel.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills to work with diverse business functions.
