Regional Quality Director

About the role

We are a leading automotive manufacturer seeking a Regional Quality Director for Mexico. The role will shape and execute the quality strategy across multiple sites, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deploy the regional quality strategy aligned with business and customer requirements.
• Oversee Quality Management Systems (QMS) across multiple sites, ensuring standardization and compliance with IATF 16949.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance overall performance.
• Provide leadership and direction to site Quality Managers and their teams.
• Lead internal and external audits, including those conducted by customers and certification bodies.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve systemic quality issues.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and report performance to executive leadership.
• Strengthen a culture of accountability, quality excellence, and customer focus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• At least 8 years of experience in quality leadership roles within the automotive industry.
• Proven experience managing multi‑site operations at a regional level.
• Strong expertise in IATF 16949, Core Tools, and customer‑specific requirements.
• Executive presence with strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
